Funeral services for Mary Reid Glass of Brookhaven and formerly of Tickfaw, La., are 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home – Hammond is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Glass, 78, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and foster parent.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Rosie Reid; a brother, Elmer Reid Jr.; her husband, Jimmy Glass, and a son, Gary.

Surviving are a daughter, Cindy and husband, Gary Dahmes; a son, Kevin Glass and soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Jane Dorsa, who was thought of as a daughter; a sister, Christine and husband, Fost Thompson; brothers, Russell Reid and wife, Linda, and Joe Reid, and wife, Vee; two foster daughters, Leslie and Tina Smith; grandchildren James Benton, Caleb Dahmes and Brianna Neal, and many caring nieces and nephews.
