The Lincoln County area is under a hard freeze warning Sunday night through noon Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Jackson.

Lows Monday night will be the coldest, with temperatures that may dip as low as between 5 and 15 degrees.

A hard freeze warning is issued when sub-freezing  temperatures are likely and are predicted to last for an extended period of time.

Area residents are advised to take precautions for livestock and pets and take care to avoid ruptured pipes.
