The hard freeze warning for the area has led to changes in schedules for some schools and school-related events Monday.

The Lawrence County schools will start at 9:30 a.m. Monday, and school buses will begin routes at 8:15 a.m.

Brookhaven Academy is still scheduled to begin school at 8 a.m. Monday, according to Headmaster Julie Wright. However, BA’s Monday basketball game schedule has changed to varsity girls and boys only, starting at 4 p.m.

Lincoln County schools were scheduled to resume Monday after the holiday break, and attempts to reach school officials for confirmation were unsuccessful.

The Brookhaven, Copiah County and Franklin County schools were not scheduled to return to class from the holidays until Tuesday.
