Funeral services for Billy Ray “Pete” Chandler Jr. of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Chandler, 49, died Jan. 5, 2014. He was born Aug. 19, 1964, to Billy Ray Chandler, Sr. and Mary Lee Walker Chandler.

He was in the roofing industry and worked as lead hand. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Chandler; nephew, Walker Chandler; and grandparents, Altamond Hettie Chandler and Dovie Mae and L.J. Walker.

He is survived by his father, Billy Ray Chandler Sr.; son, Travis Alan Chandler; daughters, Stacey LeAnn Thorpe and Kayla Lynn Chandler; brothers, Mike Chandler of Bogue Chitto, Alton Chandler of Denham Springs, La.; sisters, Charlotte Simmons of Denham Springs, La. and Kimberly Edgerton of Spokane, Wash.; four grandchildren, Sawyer, Timothy Jr., Hayden and Haylea; aunts, Becky Henry and husband, Neil, and Glenda Faye Smith.
