Funeral services for Juanita P. Smith of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Red Star Ward, Brookhaven, with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Smith, 78, died Jan. 5, 2014, at Silver Cross Home. She was born in Indianola, Miss. on Oct. 5, 1935, to the late, Willis Burt Pettway and Lenora Brown Pettway.

Mrs. Smith, the self-employed owner and operator of Wig and Beauty Salon, was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Red Star Ward, Brookhaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Curtis Loal Williams, four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, George Elridge Smith of Wesson; two daughters, Sherree Smith and husband, Kerry, of Wesson and Sheila Bowman and husband, Barry, of Brookhaven; one sister, Ruby Nell Rodgers. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jenny Edwards and Paul, Angie McKay and Leif, Derek Glenn Smith, Katie Slaton and Brandon, Karah Smith, Cody Freeman, Brookes Prestridge and Corey, Zane Crosby, Amanda Havard and Turner, Courtney Bowman, and Kelcey Bowman; great- grandchildren, Kaston, Grayson, Ella Grace, Aubreigh, Asher, Aston, Adler, Adilyne, Lexi, Adalynn, Molli and Tynleigh and numerous nieces and nephews.
