NATCHEZ – The Franklin County girls and boys soccer teams repeated as district champs Friday night with a pair of victories over Natchez Cathedral.

Senior Si’Edriq Middleton had two first half goals to lead Franklin High to a 2-0 win over the Lady Green Wave.

Goalie Macy Ziskin provided the shutout for the Lady Dawgs (17-0, 7-0).

Solid defense by Brianna Brumfield and Shelby Smith helped keep Cathedral at bay with aggressive play.

In the boys’ game, Hoby Mullins and Johnny Moore each scored twice in 8-1 Bulldogs win. FC stands 17-0 overall and 7-0 in 6-3A/2A/1A play.

Kemo Verdin, Zayne Mullins, Bryce White and Thomas Slagle had a goal each.

Franklin County travels to Florence Monday for a 4 p.m. doubleheader.
