Colorado Rockies outfielder and Brookhaven native Corey Dickerson will have an eventful next two days.
The Brookhaven Academy product will have his jersey retired Friday night in between the girls’ and boys’ high school basketball games.
On Saturday he will hold his annual kids’ camp and hitting clinic on Feb 1 at Brookhaven Academy High School.
“I’m looking forward to both,” said Dickerson. “Its always an honor to have your jersey retired. Its also rewarding working with kids and teaching them some of the things I’ve learned from BA to the pros.”
Other MLB players will assist Dickerson with the camp, as well as MLB scouts and college coaches. Campers can pre-register at Stewarts Sports in Brookhaven or sign up on the day of camp between 9 and 10 a.m. at the BA baseball field.
