As with the previous Focus magazines, Brookhaven Magazine includes a featured story and photographs, along with articles and pictures in various departments, including “At Home,” “Shopping,” “Arts,” “Wellness,” “Food” and “History.” Each edition also includes area “Social Scene” pictures.

The February/March magazine’s featured article is about a ride on the City of New Orleans train from Brookhaven to the Crescent City. With Valentine’s Day only two weeks away, a train ride offers a perfect short trip idea for families or couples seeking an upcoming getaway.

The cover story in this edition is about Brookhaven artist Vicki Land. The City of New Orleans train also figures into Land’s story, as an early trip to visit family in the French Quarter helped spark her artistic interest as a child.

Brookhaven Magazine is published every two months. Copies also are available at The Daily Leader office beginning today.
