Paul Edward ‘Eddy Bo’ Guy

Funeral services for Paul Edward “Eddy Bo” Guy of Felder’s Campground are 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb with burial in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Ruth. Jones Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. and continues Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, from 9 a.m. until the time of service at Jones Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Guy, 44, died Jan. 31, 2014, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. He was born in Monticello on April, 11, 1969. He was the youngest of four children of Paul and Shirley Guy.

Eddy Bo was a graduate of North Pike High School. He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1994. In 1996, he graduated from the University of Mississippi Law School and began his career as a partner in Armstrong and Guy Law Offices. Additionally, he was a partner in Saf-T Compliance International.

Eddy Bo was a “big man with a big heart.” He was the proverbial person who would “give you the shirt off of his back.” He was extraordinarily generous with family, friends, and his church, Union Primitive Baptist Church. Eddy Bo was looked upon by nieces, nephews, and community youngsters as a father figure. He loved to help others in any way possible.

Eddy Bo was an avid hunter, who loved to spend time with his Lord and Savior in the woods and on the deer stand. Eddy Bo also loved spending time with his family and many friends. He was also an active member of many computer forums.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, S.O. and Ina Mae Guy; maternal grandfather, R.J. Thames; and father, Paul Guy Sr.

Survivors are his wife, Marty Guy; mother; siblings, Leland “Butch” Guy, Sean Guy, Nancy Miller and husband, Mike; maternal grandmother, Roma Travis; mother-in-law, Donna Wallace; special friends, John and Ellie Busby; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues.
