James Reginald ‘Reggie’ Smith

Funeral services for James Reginald “Reggie” Smith of Brookhaven are 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, at New Hope Church of Christ of Brookhaven. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home and Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at New Hope Church of Christ.

Mr. Smith, 58, died Feb. 7, 2014. He was born in Brookhaven on Sept. 15, 1955, to Malchus Ralph and Agnes Elaine Herring Smith.

Reggie is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Irene Smith; five daughters, Vanessa McGrath (Dan), Shelly Covington (Brad), Rebecca Sanders (Mickey), Theresa Howell (Jason), Laura Case (Chris); three sons, Trent Smith (Aimee), Jamie Reeves and Kenneth Martin; one brother, Wayne Smith (Tina); 20 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Mike Smith, Charlie Lee Smith, Chris Case, Jeremy Smith, Chris Smith and Nickolas Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Smith, Colby Smith and Ty Douglas.
