James Edward Case

Funeral services for James Edward Case of Brookhaven were 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Case, 82, died Feb. 15, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 22, 1931, to Ira C. Case and Ethel Vaughan Case.

He was the owner of James Case Oil Inc. and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lavelle Case Williams; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Williams and Dale Russell; and a great-grandson, Jadin Case.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Johnnie Rials Case; sons, Robert Earl Case and wife, Barbara, and James Carroll Case; daughters, Brenda Case Warren and husband, Doug, and Janice Case Britt and husband, Webb; brother, Harold Case and wife, Carolyn; and sister, Margaret Ann Britt and husband, Howard. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, Uncle Julius Peck Vaughan and special cousin, Annie Clara Smith.

Pallbearers were his grandsons, Daniel Case, Heath Britt, Casey Britt, Tony Case, Kris Case and Jody Britt.

Honorary pallbearers were his granddaughters, Trudy Dawkins, Suzanne James, Tammy Williford, Melissa Hester and Denise Leggett.
