Wolfpack dominates Northeast; falls to Itawamba Indians

WESSON – The Co-Lin Wolfpack defeated the Northeast Tigers 7-2 and lost to a very strong Itawamba Indians team 9-0 in recent tennis action.
In the match with Northeast, the Wolfpack posted wins in five out of six singles matches. Dwain Perkins defeated Micah Page 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1. Brock Smith defeated Wesley Tye 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2. Graham Watson defeated Noah Wright 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3. In the most hotly contested match of the day, Brandon Nettles defeated Wesley Brandon 1-6, 7-5 (10-7) at No. 4. Josh Smith defeated Andre Mills 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
The Tigers pick up one win in singles and one win in doubles. Reid Price defeated Co-Lin’s Coleman Carraway 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 singles. In doubles action, Micah Page and Wesley Brandon defeated Co-Lin’s Dwain Perkins and Graham Watson 8-1 at No. 1.
Co-Lin will host Northwest Mississippi on Friday, Feb. 28, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
