Funeral services for Dorothy Upton of Loranger, La., are 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home.

Mrs. Upton, 81, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Belle Maison Nursing Home in Hammond, La.

She was born in Fayette and was a very strong person, and will be truly missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Charlie and Mittey Ezell McCaa; husband, Robert Upton; daughter, Yvonne Hall; sons, Ronnie Hall and Richard Hall; and grandsons, Destin Rayborn, and Christian Bunton.

Survivors are her sons, Jerry Hall and wife Betty Jo of McComb, John Hall and wife Janet or Reserve, La.; daughters, Kay Williams and husband Jimmy of Brookhaven, Diane Bunton and husband, Ray of Loranger, La., Vicky Busby and husband, Freddie of Ruth; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and 11 brothers and sisters.
