TYLERTOWN – The Franklin High Lady Bulldogs beat the McComb Lady Tigers in fast-pitch softball action 6-3 Saturday in the Salem Softball Classic.

Emilee Wallace notched the win for FC, with four strikeouts and two base on balls. She kept McComb’s batters off balance with crafty throwing that allowed the FC defense to get ground ball outs.

At the plate, Harley McKay and Hayle McKinney each had a triple. Speedster Shelby Smith finished with two singles.

Against Tylertown, the Lady Bulldogs absorbed a 2-1 loss despite two singles from McKay.

The Lady Bulldogs will participate in the Meridian Tournament March 13-15.
