Loyd Star defeated Puckett 6-1 in a Wednesday tennis match on the Brookhaven City Courts. The Hornets were directed by Connor Crosby and Ashlyn Locke in singles.

The Hornets also got a big win in mixed doubles as Bryson Brister and Madyson Brister defeated Puckett’s Ty Bounds and Savannah Berry 6-1, 6-4.

Loyd Star, coached by Rhonda Hart, resumes play today against Enterprise. Action begins at 3:30 at the Brookhaven Country Club courts.
