West Lincoln defeated Franklin County 5-2 in their first tennis match of the season Wednesday at the Brookhaven Country Club Courts. The Bears were directed by Caroline Laird in girls singles.

West Lincoln received victories in No. 1 and No. 2 girls doubles, No. 1 boys doubles and mixed doubles.

Franklin County got two wins in boys singles and No. 2 boys doubles.

West Lincoln, coached by Karen Dunaway, resumes play March 17, when they travel to Natchez to take on Natchez Cathedral.
