BOGUE CHITTO – The Loyd Star Hornets were victorious in the last game of the Lincoln County Invitational after blanking the McComb Tigers 11-0 Saturday in baseball action.

“I am very proud of my guys for bouncing back after a tough loss to Lawrence County earlier and accepting the challenge to get better,” said Loyd Star coach Jared Britt. “Caleb Yarborough pitched a heck of a game, and our offense was able to punch in some run support.

“We got some good competition coming up next week in Lawrence County’s tournament,” continued Britt. “So, we still need to continue getting better.”
