Funeral services for Christine Redd Johnston of Bogue Chitto are 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at Johnson Grove Church of Christ with burial in Johnson Grove Church of Christ Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 12, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood. She will lie in state Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Johnston, 85, died March 10, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center. She was born on Oct. 29, 1928, to Parson Higdon Redd and Ollie Mae Smith Redd.

She was a business owner and a member of Johnson Grove Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and brother, Jimmie E. Redd.

Survivors are her husband of 65 years, Elwin E. Johnston; sons, E. Dean Johnston and wife, Nancy Brown Johnston, and Keith Johnston; daughter, Linda Johnston Rogers and husband, Tony; sisters, JoAnn Redd Richardson and husband, Roy; sister-in-law, Jody Redd; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews, nieces and other loving family members.
