CLINTON, La. – The Brookhaven Academy Cougars traveled to Clinton, La to take on the Silliman Institute Wildcats hoping to kick start their momentum moving into district play this week. Unfortunately for the Cougars, Silliman was able to take advantage of BA miscues and capture a 9 – 5 victory Monday evening.

“We did not play good baseball tonight. We can’t expect to defeat good teams when we give away that many free bases,” said BA coach Casey Edwards. “We have all the pieces of the puzzle to be successful, we just have to flip them over on the right side and make them fit together.”

Jacob Boyd led the Cougars offensively with a double to his credit. Bailey Warren chipped in a single and two RBI’s for the game.
