DAILY LEADER / SCOTT BOYD / Brookhaven Academy’s Zach Dickerson fanned 10 and allowed just three hits Tuesday night as the Cougars blanked visiting Adams County Christian School.

The Brookhaven Academy Cougars wanted to kick off their district play on a good note Tuesday night, and behind a solid pitching performance from junior Zach Dickerson they rolled to a 4-0 shutout of the ACCS Rebels.

BA plated two runs in the first inning and two runs in the second then Dickerson held the Rebels at bay from that point on.

“Zach (Dickerson) was solid tonight on the hill. He found a rhythm and we played good defense behind him,” said BA head coach Casey Edwards. “We played a lot more aggressive tonight and finally put some pressure on our opponent. That changes the whole approach to a ballgame.”
