West Lincoln netters win tennis tournament

DAILY LEADER / TRACY FISCHER / West Lincoln’s Kara Clark saw action in girls doubles Saturday.
After 40 matches, it came down to the last two matches to decide the winner in the Lincoln County Tennis Tournament held at Brookhill. West Lincoln’s No. 2 girls double of Madison Franklin and Carlie Smith beating Enterprise 6-3 6-1, while Wesson’s No. 2 girls doubles lost to Loyd Star 6-1 6-0.
West Lincoln wins the county championship with 14 points. Wesson finished with 13, Loyd Star was third with 9; Enterprise was fourth with 6.
