The Brookhaven Academy Cougars were in action Monday evening facing the Trinity Episcopal Saints in double-header varsity action. The Cougars slugged their way to a pair of victories, overpowering the Saints 11-1 and 15-2.

“We hit the ball like we’re supposed to tonight,” said BA head coach Casey Edwards. “Quinton Logan (Trinity) is getting looks from a lot of 4-year colleges as a pitching prospect. We got to him early and put the pressure on them. If we do that each night out, we can compete with any team we play.”

JP Jackson led the Cougar attack with three hits on the evening. Alex Smith added two hits to the BA total. Landon Nettles, Bailey Warren, Steven Williams and Zach Dickerson each singled, contributing to the Cougar cause.
