Funeral services for LaVelle P. Case of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mrs. Case, 70, died March 25, 2014, at M.D. Anderson in Houston, Texas. She was born on March 31, 1943, to Warren Aaron Porter and Laura Alyce Burris Porter.

She was co-owner/secretary of Case Oilfield Services and a member of Easthaven Baptist Church where she served as church secretary and hostess.

Preceding her in death was her parents; daughter, Cynthia Alyce Case; and brother, Rodney Earl Porter.

Survivors are her husband of 50 years, Lloyd Randall Case; son, Keith Randall Case and wife, Christie; daughter, Miranda Case Foster and husband, Mike; brothers, Warren Jr. Porter and Michael Shelton Porter and wife, Melissa; sisters, Jo Nita Porter, Tama Porter Chance and husband, Elzie, Patsy Porter Douglas and husband, “Jak”; brother-in-law, Gerald Case and wife, Betty; sister-in-law, Janice Carlisle and husband, Pat, and Shirley Porter; six grandchildren, Landon Case and wife, Megan, Loren Foster Lee and husband, Brady, Mollie Foster, Lilly Foster, Jadi Foster and Karci Case; three great-grandchildren, Alli Case, Adam Case and Bradyn Lee.
