Funeral services for Winfred E. Williamson of Ruth are 2 p.m. on Monday, March 31, 2014, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel, 894 Natchez Drive, with burial in Topisaw Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Sunday, March 20, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive.
Mr. Williamson, 74, died March 28, 2014, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson. He was born on Jan. 26, 1940, in Lincoln County to Herman Williamson and Eula B. Mixion Williamson.
He was a former pressman at The Daily Leader newspaper and also worked in the oilfield. He retired in 1970.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Kenneth Williamson.
Survivors are his wife, Sylvia Ann Nations Williamson of Ruth; three daughters, Athena Burns and husband, David, of Bogue Chitto, Julie Sandifer and husband, Mike, of Ruth, and Wanda Rutland and husband, Mike, of Ruth; five grandchildren, Richard Rutland, Melane Williams, Nicole Kyzar, Trent Sandifer and Keith Burns; three great-grandchildren, Natalie Williams, Ryleigh Williams, and Kari Ana Kyzar; sister, Peggy Smith and husband, Claude of Bogue Chitto; and brother, Wayne Williamson and his wife, Wanda Gail, of Ruth.
Pallbearers will be, Richard Rutland, Trent Sandifer, Keith Burns, Andrew Williams, Ryan Kyzar and Bob Hodges.
