PURVIS – The Lawrence County Lady Cougars suffered a tough 7-6 loss in Region 7-4A softball action. The loss snapped an eight game winning streak for the Lady Cougars.

“This was a tough loss to swallow after the start we had,” said LCHS assistant coach Marc Howard. “We hit well and played well in the first three innings, but then we just shut down.

“Purvis did a great job fighting back into the contest and never gave up,” continued Howard. “Purvis is always a tough team to beat, we put ourselves in a bind by not hitting consistently. The only positive is our girls will respond and get back on track.”
