The West Lincoln Bears capture the Region 7-2A regular season championship Wednesday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over the Loyd Star Hornets in tennis action at the Brookhaven Country Club.

West Lincoln, Loyd Star and Enterprise will battle in a district tournament Tuesday at the Brookhaven Country Club to see who will advance to the state playoffs in the team events. The first round of the playoffs starts April 22.

Each player will also be fighting to keep their spot in the state championship tournament in individual matches, which begins May 14-16.
