Brooke Gonzales picked up the win for the Lady Wolves after allowing one earned runs, five hits, and three walks while striking out five in seven innings. Cerah Byrd took the loss of Hinds.

An RBI double in the first inning by Haley Irvin would plate the only Hinds run of the day.

Co-Lin tied the game in the second on an RBI single by Payton Sheffield that scored Adrienne Wallace.

Co-Lin took control of the game in the third when they scored four runs on two sacrifice flies and an RBI single by Fortenbery.

Co-Lin 13, Hinds 0

Co-Lin closed the door on game two early with 10 runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Missy Romero and a bases-loaded walk put two runs on the board for Co-Lin in the first inning. In the second they got an RBI triple from Savannah Johnston, an RBI single by Hannah Roberts, an RBI single by Breanna McKenzie, and a two-run single by Kaitlin Cooksey.

Cooksey, McKenzie, and Roberts all had three RBIs apiece for Co-Lin. Brooke Gonzales and Rheagan Welch combined on a three hitter in the circle for the Lady Wolves.

The Lady Wolves, winners of seven of their last eight games, must now wait until Tuesday to find out if they have qualified for the MACJC State Playoffs. Jones (26-2) and Gulf Coast (18-10) have already locked up two of the possible four spots. Co-Lin (17-11) will lock up a spot with a Pearl River loss on Tuesday.

Pearl River (16-10) hosts East Central (17-9) on Tuesday for a doubleheader beginning at 3 p.m. Co-Lin only needs one Pearl River loss because the Lady Wolves hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Lady Wildcats after taking 3-of-4 from them during the season.

Co-Lin closes out the regular season today in Wesson when they host the East Mississippi Lady Lions. The doubleheader, originally scheduled for Monday, will begin at 2 p.m. in Wesson. A ceremony honoring the Co-Lin sophomore class will precede first pitch.
