Funeral services for Margaret Alice Lea of New Orleans, La., was Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Matthews Chapel with burial in Matthews Chapel Cemetery in the Lea Family Graveyard.

Mrs. Lea, 71, died April 10, 2014, in New Orleans. She was born on Oct. 2, 1942, in Lincoln County to Willie Albert Lee and Rachel Wilson Stringer.

Survivors are her son, David Lea Cox of New Orleans; brother, Murray Sandifer of Kennesaw, Ga.; sisters, Sylvia Lea of Tampa, Fla., Mattie Lea Smith, Martha Lea Smith both of Brookhaven; Jennie Sandifer Hoover of Centervilla, Ga.; and a cousin, Tommye Lea of Baton Rouge, La.
