Mrs. Calcote graduated from Cross Roads High School in Pelahatchie. She was employed with Jackson Lamp Works in Jackson, packaged candy for Russell Stover Candy in Dallas, Texas, and was retired from Florida National Bank, now Wells Fargo, after serving as a telephone operator and a proof operator. She was also owner and officer of Cal’s Wide Width Shoes.

Mrs. Calcote loved basketball, square dancing and country music, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her son, Anthony B. Calcote; daughter, Rhonda C. Boutwell “Joseph”; granddaughter, Candace M. Britt “Doug”; sisters-in-law, Jean Patrick and Faye C. Smith “Carroll”; brother-in-law, Jimmy Smith; and numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.

For those who wish, the family request memorial donations be made to Myrtle Grove Baptist Church Flood Disaster Fund.

The family extends their heart felt “thank you” to Mark and Marsha Cummings and the Health Center of Pensacola.
