Tomatoes get their own special day on June 28

CRYSTAL SPRINGS – Tomatoes get their own special day tomato Saturday, June 28 as the annual Tomato Festival returns to downtown Crystal Springs.

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be arts and crafts, children’s activities including a kiddie parade at 8 a.m., a kiddie park, farmers market, plenty of food, day-long musical entertainment, antique farm equipment, old stores and lots more fun for the entire family.

The farmers market, sure to feature summer’s favorite sandwich slicer, will be located on West Railroad Avenue with all kinds of plenty of fresh produce.

Also – Friday night, June 27th, at 6 p.m. the “Tomato Queen 2014-2015” will be crowned. Other activities include junior auxiliary “Barbeque & Blue Jeans,” live music and fun for the kids.
