Funeral services for Evone Sykes Hewitt, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mrs. Hewitt, 77, died May 20, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born on March 22, 1937, to John Sykes and Mamie Rials Sykes.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Leroy Hewitt.

Survivors are her son, Ronnie Hewitt; daughters, Debbie Duncan and husband, Charles, Sonya Foster and husband, Barry; six grandchildren, Mandy Foreman and husband, Kenny, Scott Duncan and wife, Emily, Callie Hewitt, Clancy Hewitt, Brandon Foster and Brooks Foster; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
