Funeral Services for Sadie Mae Porter Wallace of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, with burial in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Thursday, May 29, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive.
Mrs. Wallace, 79, died May 28, 2014, at Silver Cross Nursing Home. She was born on June 5, 1934, in Franklin County to Benjamin Lee Porter and Bertha Amazon Ratcliff Porter.
She was a retired food service manager. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Marlett “Buddy” Wallace; brothers, Benton Porter, “Hut” Porter, Ed Porter, J.T. Porter and Russell Porter; sisters, Monell White, Addie Howe and Bea Burt.
Survivors are her one son, Phillip Wallace and his wife, Pamela, of Bogue Chitto; four daughters, Charlotte Laird and husband, Robert, of Brookhaven, Amaryllis Legget and husband, Andy, Kathryn Smith and husband, Eric, and Cindy King and husband, Jarvis, all of Bogue Chitto; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Gerald Swanson and husband, Wallace, of Brookhaven; sister-in-law, Bobbie Porter; brother-in-law, Benton Burt; and a host of nieces and nephews.
