Funeral Services for Sheryl Sandifer Parent of Gonzales, Louisiana are 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Bethel Temple Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday, June 13, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mrs. Parent, 61, died June 11, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. She was born on Sept. 14, 1952, to Charles E. Sandifer Sr. and Belva Sandifer.

She was a retired nurse from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Gonzales, Louisiana and she was of the Catholic faith.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Sandifer Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Allen; and a brother, Donal Allen Sandifer.

Survivors are her parents; husband, Leonard J. Parent; son, Leonard “Joey” J. Parent Jr. and wife, Amber; daughter, Erin Parent; brother, Charles E. Sandifer Jr. and wife, Nina; sister, Gail Sandifer Gray and husband, Ricky; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Parent.
