A celebration of the life of Phillip Lance Roberson Jr. will be held on Aug. 16, 2014. The family will provide details at a later date. Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Roberson, 48, died June 22, 2014, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. He was born on April 30, 1966, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Phillip Lance Roberson Sr. and Sally McKee Schutz.

He was a devoted father to his two daughters, Amanda and April. He was a well-known chef in the Jackson metropolitan area for most of his life until his retirement due to health issues. “The world was a happier and funnier place with Lance in it,” family said and friends.

Preceding him in death was his father, Phillip Lance Roberson Sr.

Survivors are his daughters, Amander Roberson of California and April Roberson of Colorado; brothers, Russ Passmore of Georgia and Matt Roberson of Jackson; sisters, Renee’ Roberson of California and Mary Roberson Dooley of Brookhaven; mother, Sally McKee Schutz and step-father, Gary M. Schutz.
