Service station hit by robbery

The 84 Chevron at Highway 84 and Cowart Lane was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, according to Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing.
According to the sheriff’s department, a man entered the store around 4:40 a.m. and asked the cashier for a pack of cigarettes. As the cashier opened the cash drawer, the man pulled a gun, grabbed the cash tray and ran out of the building, according to the sheriff’s department.
As the man left the building, he fired a shot into the air and got into his car with the money, according to sheriff’s officials.
Sheriff Rushing reported that the amount of cash was less than $300, but the business has not released an exact amount.
The suspect wore a hat and kept his head facing the floor during the robbery, but officials said that according to video footage of the incident, the suspect is a black male, anywhere from 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall, weighing around 160 to 180 pounds and with a full-sleeve of tattoos on his right arm.
The man drove away from the scene of the crime in a four-door, silver car.
The armed robbery is still under investigation, and the suspect is still at large.
