She introduced a 12-week program, in which the first six weeks covers the beginner basics of tennis with weekly drills and lessons. In the next six weeks, players practice in matches at the Brookhaven City Courts. Twenty-four players have gone on to join the USTA after helping start the program. "I am looking forward in watching these ladies grow and join the upcoming tennis teams," said Ferguson." I have already formed three teams for the upcoming combo tennis season. "It has a great experience for me as well as for them, continued Ferguson. "It is really nice to see these hard working career moms take an hour out of their hectic schedules and enjoy themselves. We have come a long way! I look forward to trying to get the grant again for our community."
