Funeral services for Billie Beryl Smith Murray are Monday, August 18, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church of Brookhaven with burial at Midway Cemetery in Meadville. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, Brookhaven, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Solid Rock Pentecostal Church and continuing Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Murray, 90, of Brookhaven, died at her home on Aug. 16, 2014. She was born June 11, 1924, in Brownfield, Texas, to the late Homer Smith and Olga Malcolm Smith.

Mrs. Murray was a homemaker and pastor’s wife as well as a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church in Brookhaven. She was an awesome mother and “MoMo,” and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Murray is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary Watkins and Teresa Adams.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lairah Murray of Brookhaven; two daughters, Sheliah K. Germany and her husband Jeffery of Terry, and Sandra Dearman and her husband Adrian L. of Columbia; two sisters, JoAnn Beatty and her husband David of Cleveland, Tennessee, and Jean McCranie of Natchez; two brothers, Clint Smith and wife Teggie of Natchez, and John Smith and wife Billie of Calhoun, Louisiana; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
