Friends and families gather to show their support and provide excitement before the Hornets begin their football season Friday night at 7:30 against Bogue Chitto (left photo). In the top photo, Loyd Star introduces their new cross-country team. This is the first year the school will be offering the sport. The Hornets cross-country team will participate in their first race Saturday at the Brookhaven Downtown Meet, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
