Congratulations to King’s Daughters Medical Center and CEO Alvin Hoover, physicians, nurses and staff for receiving the Women’s Choice Award as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Experience by Women two years in a row.

The Women’s Choice Award identifies the country’s best healthcare institutions based on criteria that consider female patient satisfaction and what women say they want from a hospital, including quality communications from physicians, responsiveness of nurses and support staff, cleanliness and trusted referrals from other women, according to a press release announcing the award last week.

The recognition is well deserved, and Brookhaven, Lincoln County and the entire area are blessed to have this fine hospital and its many related facilities. Not only does KDMC deliver outstanding healthcare, it’s also a major engine for our economy, providing jobs for scores of our citizens and contributing to the entire community’s quality of life in countless ways.
