Funeral Services for Jimmy Dow Ballard of Brookhaven are 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mr. Ballard, 63, died Sept. 1, 2014, at his residence. He was born on April 15, 1951, to Barney Odell Ballard Sr. and Annie Marie Ballard.

He was a member of Solid Rock Pentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and grandparents, Fletcher Martin and Lottie Woods.

Survivors are his wife, Lois Ballard; daughter, Michelle and husband, Jason Yelverton, of Vidalia, Louisiana; brother, Barney Odell Ballard Jr. and wife, Ora, of Oakvale; sisters, Catherine Carr of Jena, Louisiana, Linda Delaughter, Sadie Britt and husband, Danny, Dottie Adams and husband, Eugene, all of Bogue Chitto; five grandchildren, Morgan White, Madelyn White, Will Yelverton, Wyatt Yelverton, Ella Kate Yelverton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
