Funeral Services for Charles D. West of Brookhaven, formerly of Hazlehurst, are 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, with burial in Rocky Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive.

Mr. West, 81, died Sept. 7, 2014, at his residence. He was born on April 22, 1933, to Woodrow and Roberta West.

Mr. West was employed as an electrician in the oil field industry. He was a member of Rocky Hill Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His puppies were known as his “babies”.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Hilda; his sons, Edward (Jan) Case, Lynis Case, Arthur (Pam) Case Jr.; his daughters, Charlanne (Dale) Schwindaman of Byram, Tammy (Walter) Cline of Wesson, Janet (Jimmy) Taylor of Brookhaven; his brother, Tommy West of Texas; his sister, Debby King of Alabama; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
