Stacey and Wendy Newell, of Brookhaven, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Karley Lauren Newell, of Brookhaven, to Jameson Wright.

He is the son of Jimmy and Julie Wright, of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of Glen and Mattie Smith, of Brookhaven, Mert and Marie Newell and the late Bennie Jean Newell, of Brookhaven.

He is the grandson of Sonny and Linda Beeson, of Brookhaven, and Mary Jane Wright and the late Charles Wright, formerly of Brookhaven.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Loyd Star Attendance Center. She graduated from Copiah-Lincoln Community College in 2014 where she received an associate’s degree in nursing. She is currently employed with Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center as a registered nurse.

The prospective groom is a 2009 graduate of Brookhaven Academy. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2014 where he received a degree in criminology. He is currently employed with the U.S. Marine Corps.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at McClain Lodge in Brandon. A reception will follow.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
