Lady Bears roar past Amite Co.

The undefeated West Lincoln Lady Bears continue to roll in slowpitch softball action as they captured two straight Region 7-2A victories over the Amite County Lady Trojans Thursday night.
The Lady Bears crushed the Lady Trojans 14-0 in Game One and blasted Amite County 17-0 in Game Two.
The Lady Bears (15-0, 3-0) will resume action Tuesday as they prepare to travel to Puckett to take on the Puckett Lady Wolves for a big district test. Junior varsity action starts at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity contest at 6 p.m.

Makennah Redd tossed the win for the Lady Bears with three strikeouts and no walks.
Hanna Moak powered West Lincoln’s offensive hitting clinic with two home runs and a double. Micah Redd and Ashley Thomas continued the onslaught with a double and a single each. Sara Jane Doty ripped a pair of singles. Brianna Fauver had a triple. Hitting safely were Millane Lewis, Makennah Redd, Malori Hall, Addie Spring and Peyton White.

Addie Spring was the winning pitcher in Game Two for West Lincoln with two strikeouts and two walks.
Layton Sills, Makennah Redd and Hanna Moak sparked the Lady Bears’ charge at the plate with a home run each. Micah Redd and Peyton White contributed two singles apiece. Alli Mullins and Malori Hall provided a double each. Millane Lewis, Jana Case, Ashley Thomas and Addie Spring hit safely.
