Funeral Services for Virgie Smith are 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive, is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home, 894 Natchez Drive. She will lie in state at Macedonia Baptist Church on Sunday from 2 p.m. until time of service.

Mrs. Smith died Sept. 17, 2014, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born on Sept. 15, 1927, in Lincoln County to Ervin Smith and Mary Reed Smith.

Mrs. Smith was a lifetime member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Herman “Stubb” Smith; her daughter, Diane Smith; her granddaughter, Lisa Gail Bullock; three brothers and six sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Wanda Bullock and husband, Jerry, and Pam Price and husband, Jimmy, both of Brookhaven; six grandchildren, Monica Bullock, Dwayne Bullock, Leigh Ann Norton, Jamie Price, Darren Case and Heather Breeding; and 12 great-grandchildren.
