Funeral Services for Paul “Clayton” Britt of Wesson are 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Services. He will lie in state from 2 until 3 p.m. on Sunday at Mt. Zion.

Mr. Britt, 87, died Sept. 19, 2014, at his residence. He was born on March 14, 1927, to Homer L. Britt and Ida Minton Britt.

He was a carpenter, and he served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Britt was a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, and he was a long time member and deacon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, James Britt, Charles Britt; sisters, Allie Mae Gunnel, Bettie Vee Brewer and Dorothy Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Marie Britt; son, Greg Britt; daughters, Ann Johnson and husband Don, Paula Hart and husband, Johnny; brother, Tom Britt and wife, Margie; sister, Lessie McKoy and husband, Frank; four grandchildren, Toni Ladner and husband, Steven, Clay Posey and wife, Leslie, Erin Hester and husband, Christopher, Brett Hart and wife, CaryAnne; nine great-grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie and Jackson Ladner, Kennedy, Grayson and Emma Posey, Carson and Embry Hester and Molly Hart.

The family would like to thank special caregivers, Sandra Goodwin and Annie Brown.
