JACKSON – The Brookhaven Lady Panthers clinched the division 6A/5A crown with a 18-0 win over the Forest Hill Lady Patriots Thursday night in slowpitch softball action.

The Lady Panthers (14-10, 9-0) will return to action Tuesday as they prepare to host Murrah Lady Mustangs for their final district contest. Game time is set for a varsity game only starting at 5 p.m.

Brookhaven 18, Forest Hill 0 

Rileigh Allen was the winning pitcher for the Lady Panthers with  three strikeouts and no walks.

Fallon Brooks powered Ole Brook’s offense with an inside the park home run. Chantel Quarles contributed two double. Kat Wallace provided two singles. Hitting safely was Jada Henderson, Julianna Porter and Tia Bussey.
