East Marion exterminates Jackets

COLUMBIA – The East Marion Eagles conducted an offensive show in Columbia last Friday night. The Eagled blanked the Enterprise Yellow Jackets 43-0 in Region 7-2A football action.
“I’m very proud of our guys effort,” said Enterprise coach Brooks Burns. “They fought hard and did not give up.”
Senior running back Austin Coleman was the offensive leader for Enterprise with 75-yards rushing on 10 carries. Wesley Blazier contributed five carries for 40 yards.
Sophomore quarterback Zach Hodges completed three of six passes for 40 yards. Cade Cangemi was the top receiver with two catches for 25 yards. Jeffrey Daniels caught one pass for 15 yards.
Devon Kirtfield and Coleman led Jackets defense with eight tackles each.
The Jackets (0-7, 0-2) visit Bassfield this Friday night in a battle of Yellow Jackets. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
