DAILY LEADER / OTIS RAYBON / An upset woman drove into the Region 8 building Thursday after being dissatisfied with the care she received.

An upset woman drove her car through the front doors of the Region 8 building on Highway 51 around 1:30 p.m. Thursday. She wedged the car between the front columns of the building, pushing in the glass doors.

Police Chief Bobby Bell said the woman intentionally drove into the building three times. He said she reported that she was upset with the way she was being treated by Region 8.

The woman was sent to the Mississippi Crisis Center.

Bell said she will have to answer for what has been done to the building, but right now, getting her healthy is their first priority. He added Region 8 also felt this was the best solution for the time being.
