The defending 2A state champions Bassfield Yellowjackets flexed their muscles and thumped the Enterprise Yellow Jackets 53-14 last Friday night in Region 7-2A football action.

“Bassfield has a very impressive football team,” said Enterprise coach Brooks Burns. “Our guys knew coming in that Bassfield has a very good team, but we continued to play hard and finished strong. Overall, I was pleased with my guys’ effort. They did not quit. Now, we have a week off to start preparing for our Lincoln County rivals.”

Austin Colman got his Lincoln County-based Jackets on the scoreboard in the second quarter on a five-yard rushing touchdown.
