Funeral Services for Flora Gatlin Smith of Monticello are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Riverwood Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, from 9 a.m. until time of service at Riverwood Family Funeral Services.

Mrs. Smith, 66, died Oct. 25, 2014, at Lawrence County Hospital. She was born on Jan. 12, 1948, to Henry Brady Gatlin and Lizzie Gatlin Rials.

She was a homemaker and member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Henry Brady Gatlin and Lizzie Gatlin Rials; husband, Donald Roger Smith; and infant sister, Deanna Marie Rials.

Survivors are her daughters, Samantha Smith Parria and husband, Lionel Parria Jr. of Marrero, Louisiana, Kim Smith Pennington and husband, Randy Pennington, of Sontag, Amber Smith Helmke and husband, Chris Helmke, of Marrero Louisiana; brother, Raymond Gatlin and wife, Tanya Gatlin, of Brookhaven;

eight grandchildren, Lionel Parria III of Marrero, Joshua Parria of Marrero, Savannah Parria of Marrero, Jayde Pennington of Sontag, Christopher Helmke of Marrero, Colby Helmke of Marrero, Carter Helmke of Marrero, Channing Helmke of Marrero; three great-grandchildren, Alexis Parria, Drew Parria and Noah Parria, all of Marrero; and two nephews, Brad Gatlin and Lance Gatlin, both of Brookhaven.
